At the present moment the major efforts of the research laboratory of Globalchimica srl, are addressed at mastering the chemistry of nanocomposites, applied to silicone rubbers, polyurethane rubbers and epoxy formulae.
The study of the synthesis of reinforcing nanoparticles (size below 40 nanometres) directly in situ, is in an advanced stage, i.e. by the chemical construction reaction of the nanoparticle and its hydrophobization inside the polymeric matrix.
This would allow a substantial increase of all the rheologic, chemical, mechanical and electrical properties of the finished products.
